REPORTED SPEECH

Reported speech or indirect speech is when we tell some one what another person said.

Direct speech             : ‘’ I work  a bank’’, said Daniel.

Reported speech      : Daniel said that he worked in a bank

 

STATEMENT

When transforming statements, check whether you have to change

·         Pronouns

·         Present tense Verbs (third person singular)

·         Place and time expression

·         Tenses (backshift)

QUESTION

When transforming question, you have to:
