PERSONAL LETTER

 


A personal letter is a type of letter(or informal composition) that usually concerns personal matters (rather than professional concerns) and is sent from one individual to another.

Social function of personal letter:

  1. To give information
  2. To tell experience
  3. To express personal feeling

Generic structure of personal letter

1. The heading

            Include writer address, line by line, with the last line being the date

2. The greeting

            The greeting always ends with a comma. The greeting may be formal with the word ‘’dear’’ and             using the person’s given name or realationship

3. he body/main text/ content

            This include the message you want to write

4. The complimentary closure

            The short expression is laways a few words for example ‘’sincerely’’, ‘’love’’

5. The signature line

            Type or print your name. The handwritten signature goes above the name

6. Postscript

            If your letter contain postscript, begin with P.S. and end it with your initials. Skip a line after the             signature line to begin postscript.

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

 



Definition of Descriptive Text

Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like

 

Purpose of Descriptive text

·         To describe person, thing or place in specific

 

Generic Structure of Descriptive Text

·         Identification:

contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be described.

·         Description:

contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by decribing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe.

 

Language Feature of Descriptive Text

·        Specific participant : has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). for example: Natuna island, my house, Muara Takus temple, uncle Sumantri

·        The use of the adjective (an adjective) to clarify the noun, for example: a beautiful woman, a handsome boy, the famous place in Pekanbaru, etc.

·         The use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the fact of the object described.

·         Action verb: verbs that show an activity (for example, work, study, walk, cut etc….


My Mother

          My mother is a pretty woman. She is not tall but not short, and she has straight hair and black. Her eyes color are like honey and her color skin color light brown, and she has a beautiful smile. Her weight likes 60 kg.

          She is a very nice person. She is very lovely, friendly, patient, and she loves to help people. I love my mom, because she is a good example to me. She loves being in the mosque, and she loves cooking and sewing too.

          She is a very good wife and mother. She always takes care of her family. She likes her house to be clean and organized. She a very organized person, and all things in the house are in the right place. She doesn’t like messes.

She always has a smile on her face. She is so sweet and lovely. I like when I am going to sleep or went I wake up or when I am going to go to some places, she always give me a kiss, and when the family have a problem she always be with us to helps us and to give us all her love.

3.1         Menganalisis fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsure kebahasaan teks interaksi transaksional lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait jati diri dan hubungan keluarga, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya. (Perhatikan unsur kebahasaan pronoun: subjective, objective, possessive)

4.1           Menyusun teks interaksi transaksional lisan dan tulispendek dan sederhana yang melibatkan tindakan member dan meminta informasi terkait jati diri, dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai konteks penggunaannya.

 

A.     Tujuan pembelajaran

Melalui kegiatan daring dengan melihat video serta membaca beberapa artikel mengenai pengenalan jati diri (introduction) peserta didik mampu mengemukakan jati diri secara lisan maupun tertulis sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya.

B.     Metode Pembelajaran

a.       Pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan google classroom

b.       Tugas dan kuis menggunakan google formulir

C.     Kegiatan pembelajaran

  1.  Peserta didik mendapatkan tugas dari guru untuk melihat video dan membaca materi file tentang pemaparan jati diri  (introduction)  yang sudah diupload di Classroom  
  2.  Peserta didik bergabung dalam meeting zoom dab mendengarkan penjelasan guru mengenai pemaparan jati diri/introduction
  3. Peserta  didik memaparkan jati diri / introduction secara langsung
  4. Tugas disampaikan melalui media google classrom.
  5.  Peserta didik mengerjakan tugas dari rumah, kemudian mengirimkan hasil pekerjaan melalui form google form.

Reported speech or indirect speech is when we tell some one what another person said.

Direct speech             : ‘’ I work  a bank’’, said Daniel.

When transforming statements, check whether you have to change
